LET’S MAKE IT

Step by step

  1. 01

Pat the lamb chops dry with paper towels and season both sides evenly with sea salt and black pepper.

  2. 02

Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 03

Add the lamb chops and sear for 3 to 4 minutes per side until deeply browned, then transfer to a warm plate.

  4. 04

Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining olive oil, garlic, and fresh rosemary, frying for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. 05

Add the cherry tomatoes, cannellini beans, beef broth, and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.

  6. 06

Simmer the bean mixture for 5 minutes until tomatoes soften slightly, then serve warm topped with the seared lamb chops.

A LITTLE KITCHEN KNOW-HOW

Pan-Searing and Deglazing

Searing meat at high heat to create a flavorful crust, then building a pan sauce with aromatics and broth to lift caramelized bits.

Notes from the kitchen

  • Allow the lamb chops to rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before cooking for even searing.
  • Use a wooden spoon to press down lightly on the cherry tomatoes while simmering to release their juices.
  • Original home-cooking adaptation inspired by Italian; regional versions vary.
  • Use halal-certified meat, poultry, stock, sauces, cheese and other processed ingredients. Check labels and avoid cross-contamination. Recipe screening is not halal certification.
